The comments for the photo posted of Secretary Hillary Clinton in an East Harlem apartment are not only offensive but degrading and discriminatory. I know you don't have control over what people say but you do control what comments stay on a page. Unless she released a statement or was interviewed while and/or after visiting this person's home we can know what she was thinking. It's terrible for those who commented. To make fun of the level of property of this home or to joke about its appearance. Not everyone has chandeliers and spiral staircases in a 3,000 sq. ft. mansion. Btw, I'm also not assuming that anyone who commented on your photo fits that description. Those are my thoughts.

THIS SONG OFFENDS ME TO MY CORE!!!!!
I heard this new song on Thanksgiving for the first time and I'm still disturbed. It's called "CoCo". It's by this idiot named O.T. Genasis. I must say I had some idea what he was talking about until I saw the video then I realized I was correct. In the video he is cutting cocaine with a playing card on a glass table with money rolled up, drinking what appears to be brown liquor and talking about being "in love with the CoCo." Apparently kids are listening to this and enjoying it. I guess they find his delivery to be funny. One line in the song goes "I got baking soda, I got baking soda."
When I've mentioned this song to others they have laughed it off like, "oh yeah I know that song. It's very popular right now." I haven't spoken to anyone who has said anything about the song or it's content.
Well here I go...
THIS SONG OFFENDS ME TO MY CORE!!!!!
We are in very trying times and some fool thought it was entertaining to put out a song like this. Celebrating the preparation of cocaine for sale. Really?! What makes it more offensive is I know he made the song simple for a reason. It's catching on with kids. Even as I write this I want to scream at the fool but since he's in love with the CoCo, he probably won't even understand what I'm trying to say.
It's ignorance like this that helps to give low-income communities (like my own) the reputation of laziness and stupidity.
My community knows better than to promote this garbage. They listen to it truly because no one is actually putting out decent music but that's a larger debate for another rant.
This song should be banned. I nominate O.T. Genasis for Donkey of the Year.

Gratitude Journal
This is one of the gratitude entries that meant so much to me. Here it is:
I am grateful for the relationships I've had with those who are no longer with me. They each have a special place in my heart. The times we spent, the laughs, the tears, the food. I will never forget. Thank you to my grandmothers Alicia Rios and Romana Caceres. Thank you to my dad, Heriberto Caceres. Thank you to my uncle Tony Rios. Thank you to my beautiful cousin Lisa Cruz. Gone too soon.
I am grateful for extra special ladies in my life. My aunts, my mom's sisters, Jennie Rios (MA) and Marta De Jesus. They are the sweetest. They are so supportive and nurturing to me. I love them dearly.
I am grateful for my in laws, my extended family. They have been wonderful to me and every time we get together, it's laughter and fun. Thanks to Nicholas Johnson, Jeffrey Johnson, Antoinette Pinkney and Melvin Pinkney. Special shout out to my monther-in-law, Donna White. Love her forever.

Day 7 of Positives

Day 2 of Positives
Days of Positives
Day 1 of positives.
My professor, Carl Mazza from Lehman College challenged me and several others to post positive experiences each day for the next 7 days. I think it's a great idea.
1) Took a 2 1/2 hour nap (much needed).
2) Saw my in laws this morning (always enjoy family).
3) Finished some home projects.
Stay Tuned
